Silivri, Türkiye - April 11, 2025 The first hearing of the court in which the arrested Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, many mayors and CHP members are being tried is being held today in the courtroom located in the Marmara Penitentiary Institution in Silivri. The CHP Istanbul Provincial Organization made a call to Silivri for the case. Many citizens from many districts of Istanbul came to Silivri to support. Gendarmerie forces took extensive security measures around the prison. People who came to support were not allowed into the main entrance of the prison. The gendarmerie directed those who came to the area behind the prison. Citizens who came by bus gave messages of support to İmamoğlu and the arrested politicians with him.
