Phoenix, United States - April 12, 2025 04/12/2025 12:58 am (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a house fire near 36th Drive and Roma Avenue at approximately 12:58 a.m. Crews arrived to find a well-involved house fire quickly extending to a neighboring residence. The assignment was balanced to a working 1st alarm fire, drawing additional fire department resources to the scene. Crews worked quickly to extinguish minor fire extension on the neighboring home on the south side of the main fire occupancy. Additional firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and began working to knock down the main body of the fire. Crews established a defensive posture, battling the flames from the structure's exterior. Crews made entry into the home after fire control was achieved. Downed lines on the south side of the home created a hazardous obstacle for crews on the fire ground. Per the Phoenix Fire Department captain at the scene, six occupants were displaced as a result of the fire, and two birds were rescued. No injuries were reported, and a Phoenix Fire Crisis Response Team is working to provide resources to the displaced occupants. Phoenix FD investigators were at the scene to determine how the fire started.
