An unseasonal April snowfall covered homes in thick white powder in Connecticut.

Footage shows snow-laden ground outside a shed in Tolland on April 11. Joey, a resident and meteorologist, recorded the scene outside his property at 1:30 am.

Joey said that by 5:29 am, the ice accumulated up to 0.4 inches and rose to 0.8 inches two hours later.

The region generally experiences milder weather in April, with Tolland typically seeing snowfall from November to March.

The weather pattern has been affecting central and eastern regions in the US with the Arctic air impacting millions of residents.
