Türkiye: Turkish air force conducts first in-flight refueling of F-35 aircraft

VARIOUS OF RAMSTEIN FLAG-2025 EXCERCISESCRIPT Turkish National Defense Ministry on Saturday, Apr. 12, announced that during the Ramstein Flag-2025 exercise, a Turkish Air Force KC-135r tanker plane conducted in-flight refueling of an F-35 for the first time. According to a post shared by the ministry on social media, five F-16 C/D fighter jets, a KC-135R tanker, an E-7T aircraft, and 124 personnel from the Turkish Air Force participated in the exercise. “As part of the exercise, our KC-135R aircraft conducted in-flight refueling of an F-35 aircraft for the first time. The Ramstein Flag-2025 exercise included air units from Türkiye, the U.S., Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, the Netherlands, the U.K., Sweden, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Romania, Greece, and a NATO AWACS aircraft," the statement said. The post also featured footage of the aerial refueling operation.
