-ANTALYA, TÜRKİYE - APR. 11, 2025: Muharrem Kilic, president of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (TIHEK), said Friday that the group has prepared a report documenting genocide and human rights violations committed by Israel in Gaza. It included testimonies of Palestinian civilians, and also all witness statements, to the International Criminal Court as evidence. Kilic told Anadolu at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 held at the NEST Congress Center in the Belek Tourism Region, where Anadolu is the Global Communication Partner. “It is not only a political problem but also a social problem because Islamophobia and far-right activism is rising in Europe,” he said, stating that it is politically and socially exclusionary and that “it has to be tackled as a crucial human rights and equality problem.” - Palestinian witnesses included in ICC report While explaining steps taken by Türkiye and TIHEK in the report, Kilic said, “In these genocidal events, Türkiye is trying to raise the awareness of the international community to stand with the civilian Palestinian people.” He stated that TIHEK has been following and compiling war crimes by Israel, often “with impunity,” and has submitted them to be used as evidence against Israel. “As an institution, we have published a report in English and Arabic about the genocide in Gaza and Palestine committed by the Israeli government. We have included in this international report the Palestinian civilian witnesses who came to Ankara City Hospital and we submitted these, all witness accounts, as evidence to the International Criminal Court system,” he added.
