This is the shocking moment a tourist posing for pictures fled when the frozen lake he was standing on suddenly cracked.
The couple had been strolling along the edge of the sea after fishing for king crabs in Nome, Alaska.
Footage shows the holidaymaker standing on an ice floe while waving to his wife on April 8.
Moments later, the surface begins to subtly wobble amid strong gusts of wind, prompting the man to leap off the floating sheet of ice.
He quickly walked back to his partner, who continued filming the floating ice as he approached.
The filmer said: 'My husband thought it was fun, but I was really freaked out.'
