Toddler looks terrified of birthday surprise before epic mood switch
A toddler celebrating his birthday appeared terrified when a waiter approached him with a cake - but suddenly burst into dance moves as soon as the singing began.
Three-year-old Alfonzo Aquinde was having dinner at a restaurant with his family for his special day when he was given a complimentary chocolate cheesecake with a candle.
Footage shows Alfonzo initially turning from baffled to scared as a crew member walked to their table with the dessert.
The youngster froze in his seat, looking at the plate, before being assisted to stand up.
However, his mood had an epic switch when the crowd sang him 'happy birthday' and he performed wacky moves.
Mum Noemi said diners from other tables joined them to wish her son a happy birthday in Batangas, the Philippines.
She said: 'We were informed they would give my son a free cake. Alfonzo loved it so much. The whole Lihim Cafe team has top-notch customer service.'
The waiter even relit the candle after it blew out during Alfonzo's enthusiastic performance, prompting a round of cheers on April 7.
Birthdays are a major cultural and social event in the Philippines, as Filipinos are deeply family and community-oriented, making such events more than just personal milestones.
