BELGRADE, SERBIA - APRIL 12, 2025: On the second day of the “We Won’t Give Up Serbia” event in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic addressed thousands gathered in front of the National Assembly on Saturday, April 12. The rally follows months of anti-government protests sparked by a deadly accident in November 2024. Vucic emphasized the need for renewed national unity and announced a new political initiative aimed at broad civic participation. His remarks included a five-point plan addressing national security, education access, institutional protection, public order, and accountability for violent protests. Among those attending was Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska — one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s two entities — despite an active arrest warrant for him issued in Serbia. The three-day rally, featuring participants from across the country, is intended to showcase Serbia’s stability and future direction, according to organizers. Writing by Aleyna Cil
