Dental student's lab gown catches fire in botched activity
A dental student accidentally burned her safety gown during a lab activity in school.
Joan was working on a complete denture project with classmates and leaned over to the table when her suit caught fire in Cebu, the Philippines.
Footage shows Joan reaching for the equipment when the area on her left chest touched a Bunsen burner.
The youngster felt the heat and quickly patted her clothing to put out the spreading blaze.
Her friend Chezka Filoteo said: 'The lab gown was caught on fire while doing our CD or complete denture lab activity.'
The flames left an apple-sized hole on the scrub, but Joan was unhurt.
She laughed it out with classmates and continued with their work afterwards on November 29.
