Woburn, United Kingdom - April 11, 2025 Woburn Safari Park is hosting unique Easter celebrations this year. The park’s animal residents, including elephants and bears, enjoyed special surprises crafted by dedicated keepers. Animal keepers organized an Easter egg hunt for the park’s Asian elephants and North American black bears. The event encouraged natural foraging behaviors, delighting both animals and visitors. In the Road Safari, elephant keepers created egg-shaped treats using bran, bananas, potatoes, and beetroot. They molded the mixture into eggs and hid them in hay piles for the elephants to find. The elephants, Chandrika, Tarli, and Damini, eagerly participated. They used their instincts to locate the treats and crushed honeydew melons, a fruity surprise, with their strong feet to enjoy them. In the Kingdom of the Carnivores, black bears joined the fun. Keepers painted melons with animal-safe food coloring to look like Easter eggs, which the bears sniffed out and savored. Woburn Safari Park invites visitors to celebrate Easter with its wildlife. The elephants and bears showcased their skills in these engaging activities, making it a great time to visit the reserves.
