STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN (MAR. 29, 2025) (ANADOLU – ACCESS ALL) SHOTLIST: 1. VARIOUS OF PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTERS MARCHING IN STOCKHOLM, HOLDING BANNERS, PALESTINIAN FLAGS, PLAYING DRUMS AND SHOUTING SLOGANS UNDER POLICE SURVEILLANCE SCRIPT 2. SOUNDBITE (English) SWEDISH ACTIVIST PAULA ERICSSON SAYING: “The ceasefire never stopped. I mean the ceasefire continues. The ceasefire is a fallacy. There have been continuous bombing. It has just now escalated. And the reason why it has escalated is because Netanyahu was going to go to court. He is trying to do everything he can to see out of jail. I support Palestinian rights to (…) their land and their freedom to govern themselves as they choose. And that we actually owe them restorations to build back their hospitals, their universities, their community. Such a great (…) has been done. And this has not started on October 7 and I never want to hear anyone talk about October 7 again. This has been going on for over 70 years. This is ethnic cleansing and Palestinians deserve to have their own land.” STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - MAR. 29, 2025: Hundreds of Swedish demonstrators once again took to the streets of Odenplan, Stockholm on Saturday, March 29, in the weekly protest to support Palestine and condemn the continued Israeli offensive in Gaza. The Israeli army launched a surprise aerial campaign on the Gaza Strip on March 18, killing over 920 people, injuring more than 2,000 others, and shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. More than 50,200 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 114,000 injured in a brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave. Writing by Aleyna Cil
