Motorcycle rider alongside cyclist and snatches his PHONE before riding away
This is the shocking moment a thief on a motorcycle was seen riding alongside a cyclist before snatching his phone.
The motorist stalked the bike rider before grabbing the electronic device as they approached an intersection in Rizal, the Philippines.
Dashcam footage shows the brazen mugger closely trailing the unsuspecting road user before speeding away to flee through the traffic,
Dan Ordona, who was in a car behind, tried to chase the criminal but without success.
The snatcher weaved through other vehicles up ahead, leaving Dan behind in the traffic on April 12.
Eyewitness Dan said: 'It happened on a Saturday morning, around 7:50 am. While I was traversing on the Sumulong Highway corner near Buliran Road, I saw a motorcycle rider getting close to a biker.
'Suddenly, the rider grabbed the smartphone from the biker's back pocket then sped away.
'I tried to catch him, but he was so fast and there were a lot of vehicles. I did not want to risk any further accidents.'
Dan waited for the cyclist to catch up, and they reported the incident to the police.
The motorist added: 'I provided them the dashcam video for evidence. I hope this serves as a reminder to remain vigilant.'
