[Voice_over] A new report from international banking firm Morgan Stanley says China's robotics sector is poised to become an industry leader driven by cutting-edge technology and booming market demand. The "Humanoid 100" report, which maps the global humanoid robotics industry, shows that about 56 percent of worldwide humanoid robot companies are from China, and about 45 percent of the industry's integrators - companies that customize humanoid robots - are from China. With orders up by 300 percent year on year, this company's chief financial officer says the key to their success is that their robots are functional as well as emotionally appealing. [Sound_bite] Guo Cong, chief technology officer (CTO), Pudu Robotics: "So far this year, our orders are up by 300 percent year on year. We offer our clients two kinds of values. The first is functional as it can help them fix some problems. The second aspect is emotional. When consumers see these robots, they will feel it's funny.” [Voice_over] Data from China's State Administration for Market Regulation shows that there were more than 450,000 smart robotics enterprises in the country last year, a 200 percent increase from 2020. With rapid growth expected to continue, the value of the country's humanoid robotics market could reach upwards of 840 billion U.S. dollars by the year 2050.
