Los Angeles, United States - April 14, 2025 04/14/2025 10:35 pm (GMT-0700) RANCHO PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A hit-and-run traffic collision occurred in the Westside neighborhood of Rancho Park involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to the Los Angeles Police Department's news release regarding the incident, a 70-year-old Los Angeles resident was crossing Westwood Boulevard, just north of Exposition Boulevard, outside a crosswalk, when he was struck by a speeding dark blue Mazda hatchback that fled the scene. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and attempted lifesaving measures; however, the victim was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. The LAPD's West Traffic Division is handling the investigation and is asking the public for help identifying the vehicle's driver.
