US, Los Angeles: Rancho Park Fatal Hit and Run Auto vs Pedestrian
Los Angeles, United States - April 14, 2025 04/14/2025 10:35 pm (GMT-0700) RANCHO PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A hit-and-run traffic collision occurred in the Westside neighborhood of Rancho Park involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to the Los Angeles Police Department's news release regarding the incident, a 70-year-old Los Angeles resident was crossing Westwood Boulevard, just north of Exposition Boulevard, outside a crosswalk, when he was struck by a speeding dark blue Mazda hatchback that fled the scene. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and attempted lifesaving measures; however, the victim was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. The LAPD's West Traffic Division is handling the investigation and is asking the public for help identifying the vehicle's driver. Anyone with information about this collision should contact West Traffic Division detectives at (213) 473-0234.
