A toddler burst into tears while struggling to write her long name while doing homework.

Footage shows four-year-old Victoria Merielle Dano holding the pencil and asking her father why they gave her such lengthy first name identity.

Victoria said: 'Why is it so long?

She buried her face on the booklet before her father Victor explained why.

Victor said: 'Do you want to know the story of your name?

'Victoria came from Victor, my name. I'm Victor and you're Victoria.

'And Merielle came from mommy, Mommy Marielle. Your name is both mommy and daddy's name.'

The youngster was distracted for a moment and stopped sobbing at the family home in Manila, the Philippines, on April 13.

Her father said: 'Okay, you rest first.'

But when she returned to the activity, the little girl turned emotional again.

Victoria said: 'That's why it's so long. It's because of you guys. You should have given me one name only.'

The parents laughed and tried to console their daughter.

Her father said: 'Okay, get baptised again if you want.'

The father and daughter then arrived at a compromise, Victoria would just use her nickname 'Boomy.'
