Injured climber rescued from mountainside in Spain
This is the heroic moment an injured climber was rescued from a mountainside in Spain.
The distressed hiker, 50, was reportedly injured when he lost his footing while rappelling, sustaining a serious injury.
Unable to continue with the journey, he quickly alerted emergency services.
The Special Mountain Intervention Rescue Groups (GREIM) and the Air Unit of the Guardia Civil conducted the operation in Huesca on Sunday, April 13.
Dramatic footage shows a responder being hoisted down in the Viacamp-Litera area of the Aragonese Pyrenees to reach the holidaymaker. He was then airlifted together with the crew.
The mountaineer was later evacuated along with his companion.
