Asia Charity Eriksen, a Philadelphia native born in 1983, has transformed her childhood fascination with werewolves into a unique art form. Inspired by the horror film "Silver Bullet," Eriksen's creation, WerePups, are a whimsical blend of baby werewolves and puppies, showcasing her inventive take on infant lycanthropes. These meticulously sculpted pieces embody the essence of what a real baby werewolf might look like, merging the innocence of infants with the wild traits of wolves.

As a special FX artist and founder of WerePups, Eriksen's early memories in a row home near the Mummers Museum in Philadelphia have significantly influenced her creative journey. The WerePups, each a half-human, half-wolf hybrid, represent a unique intersection of horror and cuteness, challenging conventional notions of art and fantasy.

Eriksen, along with her husband, also a special effects enthusiast, initially handcrafted these eerie yet adorable creatures. Recognizing their growing popularity, Eriksen partnered with Trick or Treat Studios to mass-produce these fantastical beings, expanding their reach to a larger audience. The first of these mass-produced WerePups, named Cooper, marks a new chapter in Eriksen's artistic endeavor, bringing her childhood imagination to life and into the hands of collectors and horror fans worldwide.
