Joy and relief filled the air as U.S. Marines from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit touched down at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and Camp Pendleton, California, following a five-month deployment. Assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), these Marines had embarked aboard the USS Boxer in support of regional stability and a free and open Indo-Pacific. Their return was marked by emotional reunions with family and friends who waited patiently for their safe arrival.

This homecoming was more than just the end of a mission—it was a celebration of resilience, sacrifice, and service. As Marines stepped off the aircraft, many were greeted with open arms and tearful embraces, a powerful reminder of the strength of military families. The deployment highlighted the vital role these service members play in promoting peace and security abroad, while their return underscored the unwavering support waiting for them at home.
