Renowned wood sculptor Ricky Magiera has unveiled a breathtaking 25-foot carving of bear cubs climbing a tree, bringing life and creativity to a once-hazardous sequoia redwood.

Commissioned by a family near Lake Tahoe, the sculpture holds special meaning: it represents the family itself, including Mom, Dad, their four children, dogs, and even a few majestic eagles for a whimsical touch.

Magiera, who travels the country crafting custom wood sculptures, transformed the towering tree, originally cut down due to roof and septic damage, into a stunning work of art that preserves its legacy.

On this specific sculpture my clients asked if I could creat something that resembles their family, Mom Dad, four kids and dogs. Plus the eagles because, eagle are cool. This tree was a sequoia redwood and cut down because it was hazardous and damaging the roof and septic system. The carving is approx 25’ tall and resides near Lake Tahoe
