Data from Fliggy, a leading online travel platform in China, shows that since March, car rental orders in the country have increased by 43 percent compared to the same period last year. This tourist from Shanghai says she decided to rent a car to travel around Beijing, as some of the region's most popular tourist destinations, like the Great Wall, are far from the downtown area. [Sound_bite] Ms. Sha, Tourist: "The Great Wall is far from the downtown area, so it is more convenient to rent a car. I can spend as much or as little time as I want in a place." [Voice_over] Staff from a car rental company in the eastern Chinese city of Xuzhou, meanwhile, say new energy vehicles are among the most popular rentals this year, especially with young drivers. [Sound_bite] Meng Zirong, Staff, Car rental company: "Basically, seven to eight out of every 10 orders are for new energy vehicles. All of the 120 new cars we bought this year are new energy vehicles."
