GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - APRIL 19, 2025: On Saturday, April 19, Israel carried out an airstrike on the Al-Zawaida neighborhood in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah. The bodies were brought to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, where families held funerals for the victims. At least 35 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, as the Israeli army continues its genocidal campaign in the Palestinian enclave. An initial ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, brokered by Egypt and Qatar with American backing, began on Jan. 19 and was violated by Israel in mid-March. More than 51,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
