Dramatic visuals have emerged from Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir, showing a massive landslide that sent clouds of dust rolling down a hillside. The terrifying incident occurred in the Patharnikki area of Nagseni Tehsil amid ongoing heavy rainfall. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

The landslide triggered complete disruption of movement in the area, as debris blocked roads and raised fears of further collapses. Eyewitness footage captures the moment a large portion of the hillside crumbled, engulfing the area in a thick cloud of dust. Luckily, no vehicles were passing by at the time, preventing what could have been a major disaster.

Authorities have confirmed that the risk of landslides has increased significantly due to continuous rain in the region. As a precaution, around 22 families have been relocated to safer locations. A senior official stated that the Kishtwar-Padder road, which connects to the Machail Mata temple, remained closed for the third consecutive day on April 19 due to ongoing risk.

Emergency measures are being taken to ensure public safety as the region remains vulnerable to further landslides.
