Ousted South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol will face his second criminal trial hearing at 10:00 on Monday local time, Yonhap News Agency reported on Sunday. The Seoul Central District Court in southern Seoul will continue proceedings in the case against Yoon on insurrection charges. Yoon is expected to arrive at the court from his private residence in a security vehicle, as he did for the initial hearing on April 14. Media have been granted permission to film inside the courtroom, said the report. This will likely be the first time for the public to see images of Yoon attending the trial. During the first formal hearing, Yoon denied his insurrection charges and defended himself by testifying in the courtroom for over 80 minutes. On April 4, the constitutional court upheld a motion by parliament to impeach Yoon over his short-lived martial law imposition. SHOTLIST: Seoul, South Korea - April 14, 2025 1.
