VARIOUS OF PEOPLE CARRYING FLAGS, BANNERS, CHANTING, MARCHING / MAN CARRYING FLARESARAJEVO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - APRIL 20, 2025: Hundreds of people in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, protested against the Israeli attacks on Gaza. Bosnian-Herzegovinians gathered in front of the Sebilj fountain in Sarajevo's city Bascarsija district. The demonstrators marched towards Ferhadija street, starting from Bascarsija, with Palestinian flags and carried banners that read ‘Stop the genocide’ and ‘Freedom for Palestine’ as well as photographs of Palestinian journalists killed by Israel. Chanting slogans such as "Stop Israeli terrorism" and "Terrorist Netanyahu", the demonstrators also reacted to the US and other countries supporting Israel. A large Palestinian flag was carried by dozens of people during the march, which was also supported by tourists in the city. As part of the protest, cash aid was also collected to be sent to the people of Gaza The Israeli army resumed its assaults on Gaza on March 18, and has since killed 1,827 people and shattered a Jan. 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement. Since October 2023, more than 51,200 Palestinians have been killed in a brutal Israeli onslaught on Gaza. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
