Woman Blocks High-Speed Train Door with Her Leg to Wait for Companion
At around 1 p.m. on April 18 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, a female passenger surnamed Wu (aged 43) forcibly blocked the closing doors of train D2404 at Platform 3 of Shenzhen North Station in an attempt to wait for her companion to board.
Despite repeated attempts by platform staff to stop her, the companion eventually boarded, the train doors closed, and the train departed without delay.
On April 20, the Shenzhen Railway Police issued a public notice stating that an investigation confirmed Wu’s actions—ignoring staff instructions and using her body to obstruct the train doors—constituted an illegal act of interfering with the normal operation of a public transport vehicle. She has been placed under administrative detention as punishment.
