Tourist takes selfie on motorcycle... before riding into traffic and crashing
A preening tourist who was posing for selfies on a motorcycle suffered an embarrassing fail - riding into traffic and then toppling over.
Footage shows the helmetless holidaymaker aboard the two-wheeler while waiting for a red light to change at an intersection in Phuket, Thailand.
He was seen snapping pictures and revving his engine before making a right turn in light rain on April 16.
However, as the vacationer waved his hand mid-turn, he lost balance and dropped the motorbike in the middle of the road, to the delight of fellow road users who laughed and jeered at him.
The humiliated man quickly stood up and lifted the fallen vehicle while traffic continued flowing around him, with several motorists honking at him.
Onlookers said the man had been swerving back and forth earlier, with the engine loudly roaring through the alley.
The filmer said: 'At first, I didn't pay much attention, since it's quite common to see tourists behaving like that in Patong. But I was walking on the pavement when he sped past me, splashing dirty water all over my clothes.'
Riding a motorcycle without a helmet in Thailand is illegal.
