A woman got the shock of her life when a scorpion dropped onto her from the showerhead - while she was mid-shampoo.

Lauri Ward, 55, from Canyon Lake, Texas, US, was terrified when a bark scorpion suddenly fell from above and landed on her shoulder at home on March 7, 2025.

Luckily she managed to remove the scorpion using a glass without being stung.

Bark scorpions are native to the US and are known to be the most venomous scorpion in America.

"I screamed and just wanted to jump out of my skin," she said."

"I never expected anything like that."

She has no idea how the venomous critter ended up in her bathroom, but the surprise encounter has made her more cautious during her morning routine.
