Car seen with huge load stacked onto roof
A car was seen overloaded with a huge stack of items on its roof, raising safety concerns among motorists.
Footage captured by Thanawat Vanich shows the white Toyota Wigo manoeuvring in the middle of Mittraphap Road in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on March 23.
Its cargo was covered with blue tarpaulin, secured with ropes inside the vehicle, with several bamboo sticks and two metal stools stuck together protruding from the back of the load.
Thanawat said: 'It was concerning because the load was unstable, and if it shifted, it could have caused an accident.'
Overloading a car in the country can violate traffic laws regarding weight limits, visibility obstruction, and unsecured cargo, with fines ranging from 500 to 50,000 THB (approximately 11.37 GBP to 1,137.16 GBP).
