Israel - April 22, 2025 The fight against serious crime - 12 suspects arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and extortion through threats The Northern Protection Unit at Lahav 433, in cooperation with Northern District forces and Border Guard soldiers, arrested 12 suspects this morning on suspicion of attempted murder, blackmail, rape, conspiracy and economic crimes. During the investigation, suspicions arose that the suspects worked together to extort the victims and business owners, some for no reason and some for loans given to the victims on the gray market, for which the suspects demanded prohibited extortionate interest. The suspects made threats against the victims' families, carried out shooting incidents and even attempted to murder one of them. As part of the arrest operation, searches were conducted at 14 locations and nine luxury vehicles, approximately 250,000 NIS in cash, documents, computers, approximately 20 cell phones, a stun gun, and pyrotechnics including fireworks and flares were seized.
