Cool video from the Newsflare vaults of a man solving the world's largest Rubik's Cube in his garden in Ipswich, UK.

The footage from 2016 shows Tony Fisher running around his massive, homemade cube to solve it.

He wrote online: "This is the official Guinness World Record for the largest Rubik's Cube puzzle.

"I made it in my shed in January and February 2016 and total construction time was around 156 hours."

My name is Tony Fisher, I am 50 and live in the UK.
This is the official Guinness world record for largest Rubik's Cube puzzle. I made it in my shed in January and February 2016 and total construction time was around 156 hours. The puzzle weighs 220 pounds / 100kg and has an edge of 1.57m / 5 feet 1 inch. It was accepted as a world record in April 2016.
I have always been fascinated by the longest, the tallest, the fastest etc and the Guinness book of records is the only book I ever really enjoyed reading. I am also interested in the Rubik's Cube and have been making similar puzzles since 1981. Making this cube therefore brought these two interests together.
The video shows me solving the puzzle over two days. I used my own solution which I worked out when the Rubik's Cube was first released in the UK in 1980.
