Boy aged 15 and 37-year-old woman arrested as Police Officer is kicked in the face in Sedgley near Dudley
West Midlands Police cordoned off a back road off the Bull Ring (roundabout) after a female police officer was kicked in the face during an incident involving a group of people on Wednesday 23 April evening.
A 37-year-old woman and a 15 year old boy were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
The officer was treated for her injuries before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
First aid was spotted in the scene on Dean Street Sedgley near Dudley and specialist search teams combed the area including a church graveyard where the attack happened.
West Midlands Police released this statement: ‘We were called to an incident shortly before 8pm tonight (Wed) involving a group of people outside a pub on the Bull Ring, Sedgley.
‘During the incident one of our officers was assaulted and taken to hospital with injuries after being kicked to the face.
‘A 37-year-old woman and a 15 year old male were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
‘We are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with any information to please contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 quoting log number 4688 of 23 April.
