Israel - April 23, 2025 The Jerusalem Police Prosecution Unit today filed an indictment against a man in his twenties from the Ras al-Amud neighborhood, accused of stealing goods from a supermarket in the Talpiot area, valued at approximately NIS 100,000, and attempting to mislead the investigation. According to the suspicions, the suspect arrived in a truck on March 16th at the unloading location, and, along with another person, loaded items, including televisions and snacks, onto the truck and left. Later, he attempted to alter the truck's appearance to mislead police, but investigations and photographic evidence led to his arrest, and his detention was extended pending further investigation. “From the moment we received the complaint from the store, we began an in-depth investigation and gathered evidence that led us to the suspect,” said Officer Adi Mizrahi-Bauron, head of the investigations and intelligence department at the Moriah police station. “During the investigation, it became clear that he not only committed the theft, but also attempted to obstruct the investigation and mislead the police by changing the appearance of the truck used.” She added, “The professional and meticulous investigation revealed clear signs linking him to the crime, and despite his attempts, he was unable to conceal the evidence.
