Recently, a tourist attraction in Langfang, Hebei called "Cosmic Thought Paradise" has gone viral online for its artificial “Mount Fuji”-style hill, nicknamed by visitors as the “Suburban Fuji of Beijing” or the “Matcha Snow-Capped Volcano.”

The man-made “volcano” is actually a large mound of earth covered in green grass, with its summit spray-painted white to resemble Mount Fuji’s snow-capped peak.

Surrounding the hill are elements like grassy fields, lakes, white horses, and wooden cabins to create an exotic, foreign atmosphere.

On travel platforms, a discounted single ticket for the May Day holiday is listed at 78 yuan, while a package including coffee and a fridge magnet sells for 98 yuan.

Some visitors commented, “To be honest, it’s just a big dirt pile sprayed with paint and grass—kind of feels like a scam.”

A park staff member explained that visitors can think of the park as a giant land art installation. They noted that if someone isn’t into land art, animals, or photography, they might find it boring or not worth it.

The staff also shared that on holidays, the “volcano” emits red smoke to make photos more visually striking. The park has a camping area where guests can bring their own gear for a 48 yuan per-person fee. Pets are allowed but must be leashed. The recommended visit time is around half a day, with the main activities being photography and camping.

They added, “Judging by the growing number of visitors, the park is becoming more popular. Even on weekdays like Wednesday, we get dozens of visitors. We expect a good turnout during the May Day holiday and welcome everyone to come check it out.”
