Mechanic specialises in hilarious cut-and-shut cars that hit the roads in Cambodia
A mechanic in Cambodia has become a hit for his hilarious 'cut-and-shut' cars making their way onto the country's roads.
Vey Chea, 37, dreams up the concoctions at his workshop in Kampong Cham province before they take to the roads.
Footage shows the unusual motors being driven on the region's dusty highways.
In another clip, the man can be disassembling the minibus to repair its engine and rewire key components.
Once the engine was restored, another worker drove the stripped-down frame of the vehicle for a trial run.
Vey said: 'I modify the cars, then sell them. People like them. I have orders for three more that I am working on. They're very popular.'
With few police officers patrolling rural parts of Cambodia, or even the cities, using the heavily modified vehicles has never encountered any problems.
Vey added: 'None of the cars have ever been pulled over by the police.'
