Bakersfield, United States - April 24, 2025 04/24/2025 05:37 pm (GMT-0700) CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. – A wind-driven brush fire, known as the Desert Fire, broke out in California City at 5:37 p.m. near Randsburg Mojave Road and Twenty Mule Team Parkway Road. The fire was contained by 7:26 p.m. after it had grown to five acres. Multiple fire departments responded, including Kern County Fire, California City Fire and Edwards Air Force Fire.
