GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - APRIL 25, 2025: The Israeli army targeted a school in Gaza City on Friday, April 25, where displaced Palestinian civilians had taken shelter amid ongoing offensive. Two people were killed and three others injured in the strike, according to local reports. The school was being used as a temporary shelter by families forced from their homes due to intensified fighting. Civil defense teams arrived at the scene shortly after the attack and carried out search and rescue efforts. Israel resumed its genocide on the Gaza Strip on March 18, abandoning a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. It has killed over 51,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the enclave since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
