This is the shocking moment a car skidded out of control on a wet road in China.

Dashcam footage captured by Mr Xu shows the white sedan veering from the middle lane and crashing into a road barrier amid rainfall in Hangzhou, Zhejiang.

The impact sent parts of the vehicle's front interior flying into the air before it swerved into an adjacent lane, striking a bus from behind.

The collision forced the blue public transport bus to brake sharply, as the car crashed into the barrier again and overturned.

Upon witnessing the incident, nearby motorists and workers rushed to assist the driver trapped inside the vehicle.

They reportedly called an ambulance, and the car's owner was taken to a nearby hospital.

Mr Xu said: 'I was lucky enough to be safe in this accident, but the car and the bus were not. I noticed the bus driver tried hard to avoid the situation but was unsuccessful.'
