A British tourist was pushed from his motorcycle and repeatedly stabbed in a horror attack in Thai 'Sin City' Pattaya.

Scott Lacy, 33, from Darlington, was riding home when the assailant reportedly raced alongside him and kicked him to the ground.

The attacker then allegedly repeatedly plunged a knife into Scott's arms, abdomen and legs in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Shocked locals found the Brit sprawled on the pavement in a pool of blood, groaning as he shouted for help.

Passerby Onuma, 26, said: 'I had just finished work at the bar and I saw the injured foreigner on the ground. There was a lot of blood and a knife there. I was worried he would bleed enough to die.

'Others from a bar came to help him while we waited for the ambulance to arrive. Some people saw another man stabbing him but they were afraid to go near.'

Paramedics from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation treated Scott at the scene before he was rushed to a hospital.

Police arrived and recovered the alleged weapon from the scene. They said it was a folding knife with a four-inch-long blade.

Officers are now investigating the attack in the notorious coastal city, some 90 miles east of the capital, Bangkok.

Lieutenant Chaowalit Suwanmanee, the Deputy Chief of Investigations at Pattaya City Police Station, said: 'Witnesses who saw the attack have described the attacker. The investigation team is now coordinating with other witnesses to search for clues.

'When the victim is in a stable condition, he will be interviewed to find out if he knew who the attacker was.

'We are waiting for CCTV cameras to be checked so the footage can be recovered.'

The shocking attack is the latest incident in the crime-ridden outpost that has become popular with Brits.

Earlier this month, a tourist was knocked out by bouncers and set upon by a mob of bar workers following a dispute on the city's Soi 6 road.

A few days before, British tourist Michael James Ward, 30, from Birkenhead, Merseyside, was taken into intensive care after allegedly playing Russian roulette while high on a cocktail of cannabis and laughing gas.

On April 12, Chinese vlogger Li Hailong, 37, was drinking at a bar when he was bundled into a car before being taken to a secluded alley and attacked.

Government chiefs have battled to clean up the city, but regular violence, depravity and claims of corruption continue to blight its reputation as a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah.

The city's round-the-clock adult attractions - bars, strip clubs, massage parlours and ubiquitous street prostitutes - have also become a lucrative draw for predatory Western men willing to exploit the undeveloped infrastructure and impoverished women for their own profit.

In April 2023, a British man and a Thai woman were arrested in connection with human trafficking allegations at the 'Flirt Bar' on Soi 6.
