Phoenix, United States - April 25, 2025 04/25/2025 03:00 am (GMT-0700) GLENDALE, Ariz. – Glendale and Peoria Fire Department crews responded to reports of a garage fire near the 4800 block of West Carol Avenue around 3:00 a.m. Crews arrived to find a heavy volume of fire inside the garage and through the roof of the residence. Crews transitioned to a defensive fire attack due to the severity of the blaze and compromised integrity of the structure. With defensive operations declared, crews pulled back from the structure and battled the fire from exterior positions. A tower ladder was deployed over the structure to assist with firefighting efforts. Fire control was declared shortly thereafter. Fire investigators from the Glendale FD are working to determine the cause of the fire. Two residents were home at the time of the fire but were able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of fire crews.
