The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has reached 51,495 after 18 months of Israeli attacks, Gaza-based health authorities said on Saturday. The number of injuries has risen to 117,524, according to a statement from the health authorities. In the past 24 hours, 56 Palestinians were killed and 108 others were injured in Israeli military operations in the enclave, as reported by health authorities. The statement also noted that at least 2,111 Palestinians have been killed and 5,483 others injured since Israel resumed its intensive strikes on March 18, following the collapse of a two-month ceasefire.
