US, Los Angeles: Malibu Mudslides Prompt Closure Of PCH
Los Angeles, United States - April 26, 2025 04/26/2025 12:00 pm (GMT-0800) MALIBU, Calif. – Authorities were alerted to a large mudslide that blocked all lanes of Pacific Coast Highway near Big Rock Drive. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol, and Caltrans responded to the scene. Crews shut down Pacific Coast Highway and diverted traffic from the area. Caltrans deployed heavy equipment and plows to clear the debris. However, a layer of mud remains on the roadway as crews continue their efforts to remove it. Pacific Coast Highway will remain closed for an unknown duration from Topanga Canyon to Carbon Beach Terrace.
