The bodies of the Palestinians killed were taken from the morgue at Nasser Hospital in the city. After funeral prayers, the bodies were taken to the cemetery for burial on Sunday, Apr. 27. Israeli attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip have continued for months, leaving widespread destruction and worsening the already dire humanitarian crisis. More than 51,400 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in the brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
