US, Los Angeles: Downtown Los Angeles Vehicle vs Fire Hydrant Hit And Run
Los Angeles, United States - April 26, 2025 04/26/2025 03:16 am (GMT-0700) DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle striking a fire hydrant. The crash resulted in the hydrant being sheared off, prompting firefighters to use a heavy rescue tow truck to lift the blue Range Rover SUV away from the hydrant. This action allowed crews to access the shut-off valve. Once the vehicle was moved, firefighters were able to close the valve and stop the flow of water. The driver of the SUV fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash is currently unknown.
