Fighter jets launched from aircraft carriers in a mission against the Houthis.

Footage shows aircraft being prepared for departure, with weapons mounted onto them before takeoff from a military vessel on April 23.

Authorities said that the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) are carrying out continuous 24/7 operations targeting Iran-backed Houthi forces.

President Donald Trump said that while Iran had reduced its intensity regarding military equipment and general support, the country continues to send substantial supplies to the rebels.

He added: ' Iran must stop the sending of these Supplies IMMEDIATELY. Let the Houthis fight it out themselves. Either way they lose, but this way they lose quickly.

'Tremendous damage has been inflicted upon the Houthi barbarians, and watch how it will get progressively worse — It's not even a fair fight, and never will be. They will be completely annihilated!'

Trump cited the group's attacks on shipping in the Red Sea as the reason for the military action. He said: 'Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at US aircraft and targeted our troops and allies.

'These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and world economy many billions of dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.'

The US initiated what it described as a 'decisive and powerful' wave of airstrikes on Houthi targets on Saturday, March 15. The Houthi leadership reported that the number of casualties had risen to 120.

CENTCOM stated that it initiated a series of operations, including precision strikes against Houthi targets across Yemen, to defend American interests, deter adversaries, and ensure freedom of navigation.
