On the morning of April 27, around 8 a.m., a dramatic incident occurred at a construction site in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. A yellow crane suddenly toppled over, and its boom—several dozen meters long—came crashing down onto the road, producing a thunderous noise that nearby residents described as "sounding like an earthquake."

Eyewitnesses reported that the crane was operating on the 23rd floor of a high-rise building, and the fallen boom was estimated to be around 70 to 80 meters long.

Fortunately, when the accident occurred, the crane collapsed onto an internal road, avoiding public traffic and nearby buildings.

Surveillance footage showed that the falling boom narrowly missed a man who was walking while looking down at his phone. Luckily, the collapsing boom was cushioned by construction materials, and the man curled up in the corner created by the debris, escaping unscathed.

Nanjing traffic police quickly responded to the scene and confirmed that, aside from damage to the crane itself, there were no casualties or structural damages to surrounding buildings.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
