Dramatic footage shows emergency responders attempting to assist the frightened bovine as it ran uncontrollably in Shangrao, Jiangxi, China.
Authorities reported that the animal's owner was unable to manage the cow's panic and called for aid.
The distressed creature then turned aggressive, charging at the firefighters and resisting their efforts to help.
Despite its aggressive behaviour, the calf was eventually subdued and returned home safely on April 24.
