VARIOUS OF RELATIVES CRYING OVER BODIES OF DECEASED CHILDREN ON GROUNDGAZA, PALESTINE - APRIL 28, 2025: At least 51 more Palestinians were killed in unabated Israeli airstrikes on homes across the Gaza Strip on Monday, April 28, medics and local media said. Israeli warplanes struck a home in the southern city of Khan Younis in the early morning, killing eight people, the official news agency Wafa reported. Three more people lost their lives, and many others were injured in another strike in the Al-Shafi’i displacement camp west of the city, the broadcaster said. An Israeli airstrike hit a gathering spot for civilians in Gaza City, leaving nine people dead, a medical source told Anadolu. Another Palestinian was killed in the Abasan town in eastern Khan Younis, the source said. According to the same source, three more Palestinians were killed in southwestern Gaza City, and seven members of a family in the north of the city by Israeli air assaults. Fighter jets hit another Palestinian home in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, leaving 10 people dead. Six more civilians were killed and several others injured in another strike targeting a home in the northern town of Beit Lahia, the same source said. Medics said that four dead bodies were removed from the rubble of a home in Khan Younis that was shelled by Israeli forces on Sunday. The Israeli army resumed its assault on Gaza on March 18, shattering a Jan. 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement. Israel has killed more than 52,300 Palestinians in the enclave since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
