Reports suggest that earlier that day, he had stabbed one of their friends, prompting them to seek revenge. They hurled chairs at him and attempted to strike him with a plumbing wrench. In a desperate bid for protection, he fled into a nearby restaurant, where he retrieved a butcher's knife from the kitchen. Moments later, he emerged and turned his attack on the young man in the red sweater holding a skateboard. The violent incident unfolded at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
