Storm batters tourists as they go river rafting in Thailand
Tourists were left scrambling for cover when a tropical storm swept through a river rafting attraction.
The holidaymakers were waiting for their turn to board the inflatable platform to explore Mae Sa Ruay Dam when there was a downpour in Chiang Rai province.
Footage shows visitors soaked in the rain and preparing to leave as the weather shifted on April 26.
Local guides rushed to pull the boards to the banks to keep them from being carried through the stream.
Party music coming from loudspeakers in trucks still played while groups were starting to vacate the area.
Traveller Aphiram said: 'The summer storm started around 4 pm when everyone was ready to jump into the water.'
Thailand is at the start of its annual monsoon rainy season. The intense daily downpours last from May until late October, leading to widespread flash floods and damage.
