[Voiceover] It's dusk and crowds are already gathering at the Zhongyan Temple in southwest China's Qingshen County. From mid-March to the end of April each year, the region enters peak firefly-watching season, drawing tourists from across the country to enjoy the breathtaking spectacle. When darkness falls, lightening bugs begin to flicker, resembling scattered stars among the surrounding bamboo branches and vines. [Soundbite] Shen Ying, Tourist: "I'm from Chongqing. I saw the dreamlike scene, and beautiful fireflies with my own eyes, like something out of a fairytale. The whole experience was truly amazing." [Soundbite] Tourist: "I think the fireflies are like shining stars in the sky. They are incredibly beautiful." [Voiceover] The insects have become a major tourist attraction for the county during the season, with restaurants, hotels and cafes conducting firefly-themed workshops and bazaars. So far this year, the county has welcomed over 100,000 visitors, generating approximately 4 million U.S. dollars in economic revenue. [Restrictions: No access Chinese mainland]
